About the role

Join our manufacturing team as a Formulation Manufacturing Supervisor, where you'll manage teams in producing pharmaceutical products. You'll maintain operational excellence while ensuring compliance with cGMP standards and FDA regulations. This role combines technical expertise with people leadership to deliver high-quality products that improve healthcare outcomes. You'll coordinate production schedules, oversee manufacturing processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Your leadership will be essential in maintaining quality standards, developing team members, and fostering a culture of safety and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage teams in pharmaceutical product manufacturing
  • Maintain operational excellence and compliance with cGMP standards and FDA regulations
  • Coordinate production schedules and oversee manufacturing processes
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead and develop team members while fostering a culture of safety and innovation
  • Review batch records and documentation
  • Ensure adherence to aseptic processing and cleanroom operations

Requirements

  • Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing preferred
  • 2+ years of supervisory/leadership experience in a GMP environment
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP regulations and FDA requirements
  • Expertise in aseptic processing and cleanroom operations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
  • Experience with batch record review and documentation
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing systems
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights/weekends as needed
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated experience in operational excellence and quality improvements
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and environmental monitoring
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Environmental Conditions

  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
  • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
  • Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair, etc. allowed
  • Office environment
  • Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.)
  • Standard work schedule (Mon-Fri)

Pay

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $83,300.00–$125,000.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future, without sponsorship. Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening. Relocation assistance is not provided.
