Drop In Coach (Relief)
About the role
We are an independent living program that houses young individuals from 18-24 years old in small efficiency-type apartments or shared-living housing throughout the Metro, Boston, Central, Northeast, and Southeast DCF regions.
As a Drop In Coach (Relief), you will provide support for the individuals we serve by “dropping in” to their independent apartment setting to help ensure compliance with program rules, provide crisis management if needed, and maintain a safe living environment by conducting searches for contraband.
Responsibilities
- Support individuals in independent apartment settings to ensure compliance with program rules.
- Provide crisis management during visits.
- Conduct searches for contraband to maintain a safe living environment.
- Perform physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to ensure a safe therapeutic atmosphere.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience working with older youth and young adults in a mental health setting and trauma-informed care is preferred.
- Available to work evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts as required.
- Must have an active driver’s license.
- Background and driving record checks will be performed.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $21.00 to $25.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications, and qualifications.
Schedule
This position is relief with flexible hours, 8–15 hours per week.
