Drivers Assistant

Job Description

Aid in loading and unloading trailers as needed.

Ensure the security of the load before movement.

Clean and wash the truck as necessary.

Report any truck and equipment maintenance issues to the supervisor.

Comply with all DOT safety rules and regulations, as well as company policies and local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• At least 6 years of driving experience required.
• Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid Class 'A' CDL with a satisfactory driving record for at least 1 year.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation, State, and Federal Laws.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Self-motivation and sound work ethic.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience driving a live poultry tractor trailer.
• Basic math functions and skills.
• Compliance with Department of Transportation, State, and Federal laws, and company safety policies and programs.
• Ability to work in various environments including outside, noisy, and around raw, live animal odors.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and long shifts.
