Driver Assistant

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads delivery trucks, maintains product organization, and adheres to food safety principles.
• Maintains professional uniform standards and personal hygiene.
• Inspects fruits and snacks for quality and brings issues to attention.
• Helps bring equipment and coolers to drivers' trucks to expedite loading procedures.
• Works closely with Dispatch Supervisor to assist drivers with loading and unloading products.
• Engages with school and other representatives to provide excellent customer service and communication.
• Ensures customer orders match product deliveries to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Spot checks product upon delivery and unloading to ensure quality.
• Pack and load products according to company specifications and unload trucks to meet customer needs.
• Maintains proper food handling requirements and temperature checks of chilled products.
• Maintains good communication with coworkers and other team members.
• Manages packing slips and delivery processes, ensuring customers sign for receipt and noting any rejections or shorted products.
• Serves as a problem solver and promotes Revolution Foods Core values and mission.
• Follows safe working practices, including using equipment like pallet jacks, dock plates, and wheel chalks.
• Keeps the truck interior and exterior organized, clean, and sanitary.
• Maintains proper care of equipment used to move or secure product inventory.
• Fulfills all required safe work and food safety practices, including wearing appropriate PPE.
• Corrects and/or reports any food safety and quality issues to management immediately.
• Completes a variety of routine administrative tasks associated with the work.
• Performs other duties as needed.

Required Experience and Education

• Minimum 1 year experience working in a food service environment, with customer contact.
• Experience working in a warehouse environment loading and unloading product.
• Food Safety training or certifications helpful.
• Passes a background check and drug test.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Able to work an early morning flexible schedule and cover varied shifts.
• Positive and professional attitude and image.
• Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter who can perform common routines.
• Able to move, lift, and carry products up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work as a team and individually to accomplish the work.
• Knowledge of basic food handling requirements.

Working Conditions

• Work within a factory setting with chilled temperatures and occasionally in the freezer area.
• Routinely exposed to wet, damp, and cold conditions.
• All PPE is provided.
• Routinely required to stand, walk, bend, carry, crouch, grasp, hold, kneel, lift, push/pull, reach, sit, squat, stand, stoop, stretch, turn, twist, talk, listen, and communicate with others.
• May lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Compensation

$18.00 to $18.47 per hour.
