Driver Trainer
Safety
Ensure that the Road Traffic Safety Management System (RTSMS) conforms to the requirements.
Conducts on-board evaluations and in service training to operators according to schedule and/or need.
Performs ride checks and road observations as requested.
Completes documentation forms in accordance with Keolis, State, Federal, local, and Company requirements.
Evaluates new operator driving skills using appropriate checklists and evaluation forms.
Provides appropriate feedback to new operators.
Assesses the competence of new operators.
Ensures operators are fully trained prior to being released into revenue service.
Serves as role model and mentor to new operators.
Identifies retraining needs.
Reports to management on the performance of the RTSMS and on opportunities for improvement and on the need for change or innovation.
Promotes customer focus throughout the organization.
Maintains the integrity of the RTSMS is maintained, when any changes to RTSMS are planned and implemented.
Key Accountabilities
- Provides behind-the-wheel training for new operators and trainees.

Physical Demands And Work Environment
Long periods (potentially exceeding 8 hours per day) of walking, standing, sitting, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing, lifting, balancing, stooping, twisting, squatting, handling materials, repetitive hand-wrist motions, and traversing uneven surfaces;
Exposure to both extreme heat and cold;
Exposure to loud noises, fumes, and airborne particles;
Skills
- Excellent planning and leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience as the Road Supervisor.
- An eye for detail.
- Ability to make decisions, manage change, motivate, delegate, and manage time.
