About the Role
The Shuttle Driver position serves as a shuttle operator and information source, providing services to customers and tenants at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets.
Responsibilities
- Operates a golf cart, shuttle bus, and/or trolley safely and efficiently.
- Accurately completes driver trip sheet for each shift.
- Knowledgeable of pick-up and destination points, including specific stores, restaurants, lodging, and business offices, and communicates these to guests.
- Relays product knowledge to respond to guests’ questions about promotions and amenities at the Shopping Center.
- Represents Simon by providing high-quality, efficient service to customers.
- Provides passengers with information about shopping, dining, lodging, entertainment, and attractions in and around the Shopping Center.
- Responds to dispatch or management requests for unscheduled pick-ups or drop-offs.
- Assists passengers in boarding, exiting, and handling luggage, packages, or other items.
- Uses two-way radio or cellular phone for communication.
- Reports accidents or safety situations to management.
- Maintains a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor with all passengers and guests.
- Ensures the shuttle’s physical appearance, including marketing materials, signage, and displays, is professional and up-to-date.
- Inspects vehicle at the beginning of each shift for operational safety (lights, signals, tires, wipers, damage, etc.).
- Maintains cleanliness and fuel levels of the vehicle.
- Monitors vehicle condition, records malfunctions or damage, and reports to management.
- Collaborates with property management staff regarding corporate policies and procedures.
- Understands and implements the disaster plan role if needed.
- Follows corporate or management guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Provides support to co-workers and other departments as requested; participates in team meetings and center projects.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
- Must possess any state-required documentation for driving passengers.
- Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds frequently.
- Must communicate clearly in fluent English via telephone, two-way radio, and in person.
- Ability to read, understand, and complete forms, schedules, and inter-office communications.
Schedule
Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
