About the Role
Assist Ambulance is seeking an experienced Driver Safety Trainer to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Conducting driver evaluations as needed
- Conducting training classes with candidates for employment, new hires, and annually, and completing all associated documentation
- Reviewing ambulette driving for infractions and accidents
- Conducting coaching and counseling sessions with drivers and crewmembers on infractions and accidents, and completing all necessary paperwork
Duties are subject to change and are not limited to the ones mentioned above.
Requirements
- Must be available Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM
- Must have a valid New York State driver’s license (D-class or above) with an acceptable driving abstract/record
- Must have experience training drivers (commercial experience preferred but not required)
- Must have experience professionally coaching and counseling drivers on driving/passenger infractions and accidents
- Must be comfortable using digital data systems for human resource management and automatic vehicle tracking (e.g., Lytx, Samsara, or Motiv)
- Must be comfortable writing reports and corresponding via email
Qualifications
Ideal candidate has a valid EMT certificate in New York State.
