Driver (Non-CDL)

About the role

The Driver (Non CDL) delivers insulation products to scheduled job sites, ensures on-time delivery, and maintains professional customer interactions. This role also assists with warehouse functions, including loading and unloading trucks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to job sites using a 26’ box truck or larger, managing routes and making sound decisions.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and represent the company positively.
• Keep the assigned delivery truck clean and ensure fuel levels are optimal; report mechanical issues immediately.
• Follow work instructions, including verifying truck contents before departure and securing freight.
• Retain and provide paperwork for pickups/deliveries to the warehouse lead upon return.
• Communicate delivery/pickup status updates and notify of any delays.
• Perform daily pre-trip inspections, complete pre-inspection forms, and handle minor maintenance.
• Report mechanical or maintenance issues to the Division Manager promptly.
• Perform shipping and receiving duties, including data entry, verifying materials, and documentation.
• Complete daily logs in compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Process paperwork such as tickets and bills of lading.
• Obtain customer signatures on receipts and collect COD charges when specified.
• Verify material counts for accurate inventory and report job site issues to the Division Manager.
• Pull, stage, and load outgoing material orders.
• Cross-train and backfill warehouse roles when not on the road.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with teammates and leadership.

Requirements

• One year of verifiable experience driving a straight truck (26’ box truck, automatic transmission, or similar).
• Ability to receive and maintain a DOT medical card.
• Ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs. and climb in/out of the vehicle.
• Possess a current and valid Driver License, TWIC Card, and DOT FedMed Card.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record as per insurance requirements.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (30-minute lunch), with overtime available as needed.
