Driver (Non-CDL)

Non-CDL position delivering insulation products to job sites on a fixed schedule. Responsibilities span warehouse duties, truck loading/unloading, and professional customer interactions at delivery points.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 26’ box truck (minimum) and manage delivery routes with sound decision-making.
• Ensure on-time delivery and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
• Keep the assigned delivery truck clean and fuel levels optimal; report mechanical issues immediately.
• Follow work instructions and standard operating procedures:
  • Verify truck load contents before leaving the Bay dock and after vendor pickups.
  • Secure freight inside the truck before driving.
  • Retain Bay copies of pickup/delivery paperwork and provide to warehouse lead.
• Provide delivery/pickup status updates to warehouse lead or manager as needed.
• Follow customer delivery instructions noted on paperwork and notify Bay of any delays.
• Perform daily pre-trip inspections, complete pre-inspection forms, and handle minor maintenance.
• Report mechanical or maintenance issues to the Division Manager promptly.
• Handle shipping and receiving duties, including data entry, verifying material quantity/quality, and documentation.
• Complete daily logs in compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Process paperwork such as tickets and bills of lading.
• Obtain customer signatures on receipts and collect COD charges when specified.
• Verify material counts for accurate inventory and report job site issues to the Division Manager.
• Pull, stage, and load outgoing material orders.
• Cross-train and backfill warehouse roles when not on delivery routes.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with teammates and leadership.

Requirements

• One year of verifiable experience driving a straight truck (26’ box truck, automatic transmission, or similar).
• Current and valid Driver License, TWIC Card, and DOT FedMed Card.
• Ability to receive and maintain a medical card.
• Ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs. and climb in/out of the vehicle.
• Maintain a valid license and acceptable driving record as per insurance provider requirements.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (30-minute lunch).
• Overtime available as needed.
