Driver - Microbulk

About the role

You will provide a high standard of customer service while delivering products, including unloading and moving them to the customer use point, and reloading returned empty cylinders to the vehicle. Driving represents approximately 30% of the day; the remaining time includes delivery, cylinder handling, shipping orders/paperwork, customer contact, and vehicle inspections.

You will accurately count and record quantities and styles of product delivered and picked up, complete hazardous material shipping orders in accordance with DOT/TC regulations, and placard the vehicle according to required hazardous material regulations and Linde standards. Conducting and reporting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, identifying vehicle repair or maintenance needs, and ensuring timely completion are also key responsibilities.

You will operate a variety of equipment, interface regularly with internal and external customers, and deliver to industrial, service, educational, and medical customers. Handheld computers will be used for customer transaction paperwork, compliance needs (e.g., Hazmat preparation, vehicle inspection reports, load reports, trip reports), and following a computer-generated route and sequence delivery plan.

Requirements

• 2 years of driving experience or completion of a truck driver training school that operates equipment similar to Linde’s
• No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or other moving violations in the past 2 years
• No alcohol-related convictions within the last 10 years
• Current medical examiner’s certificate or ability to pass a DOT physical
• Valid Class A CDL is required
• Current Hazmat endorsement on CDL or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
• Ability to read and write in English
• High School G.E.D. or equivalent is required
• 21 years or older

Pay

Pay range: $24.88–$36.49 per hour.
