Driver/Material Handler
About the Role
PSS Cross Country Infrastructure Solutions seeks a Driver/Material Handler to join our dynamic team. This position involves safely operating company vehicles for deliveries and performing various warehouse duties including receiving, storage, packaging, shipping, and distribution.
What You’ll Do
- Safely pick up and deliver products within the local branch area using company vehicles.
- Drive company trucks to and from customers or vendors, completing deliveries on time.
- Transport products to local customers using company trucks and trailers (if applicable).
- Maintain company vehicles by keeping them clean and ensuring preventive maintenance checks are completed; promptly report issues or concerns.
- Pull, stage, and prepare products from designated inventory locations with accuracy.
- Pack and secure outbound shipments, ensuring products are damage-free and ready for delivery.
- Unload incoming trucks, verify materials against delivery tickets, and resolve discrepancies.
- Check vendor packing lists, update PO Stock Tickets, and accurately record inventory movements.
- Stock and organize products in assigned locations while keeping inventory records current.
- Conduct inventory control audits to maintain stock accuracy.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and ladders.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times.
- Consistently follow company safety protocols and procedures.
What You Bring
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong math and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow procedures.
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
- Familiar with standard warehouse practices.
- CDL and Forklift experience or ability to obtain certification.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.
- Clear verbal and written communication.
- Basic computer skills for shipping and receiving.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record and 3+ years of driving experience (if driving duties are required).

- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- At least 21 years of age (per DOT/FMCSA requirements).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening, where permitted by law.
