Driver Manager
On-site in Indianapolis, IN, USA. First shift, full time: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. with rotating Saturdays 7 a.m.–5 p.m.
About the role
Schneider is seeking a Driver Manager to ensure successful execution of customer freight delivery through effective driver management. The Driver Manager will act as a link between the business, drivers, and customers.
Responsibilities
- Make safety-conscious decisions that ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Balance the needs of customers, drivers, and the business.
- Provide continuous, structured, and proactive performance management and coaching to drivers.
- Manage driver payroll and home time.
- Collaborate with various teams to identify and implement creative solutions to improve retention and drive business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of equivalent work experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Able to work collaboratively with a variety of teams, both internally and externally.
