DRIVER MANAGER

About the role

This position is responsible for the management and facilitation of all driver-related job functions, including operations, safety and compliance, vacation/home-time, employee relations, claims, and breakdown. The role also involves maintaining effective communication with load planners and customer service representatives to ensure on-time delivery and load accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Management and facilitation of all driver-related job functions
• Maintain effective communication with load planners and customer service representatives
• Manage coordination with maintenance to ensure completion of preventative maintenance and repairs to trucks within the fleet
• Assist with HR-led initiatives, including payroll, enrollment of fringe benefits, issuance of disciplinary action, and general communication between driver and management
• Administer daily and weekly business-related reporting

Requirements

• Supervisory experience of three years or more, preferably in the trucking industry
• General experience in the trucking industry
• Proficient in general computer software
• Experience working in TMW and/or Qualcomm is beneficial

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
• Strong understanding of FMSCA Hours of Service and Compliance
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively
• A proven leader and team player, dependable, consistent, and reliable
• High school diploma and advanced learning degree preferred, not required

Pay

Base salary range of $45,000.00 to $52,000.00 annually, and eligibility to participate in the Company’s quarterly bonus plan

Schedule

Wednesday- Sunday, with extended coverage on Wednesday (1900-0700), Thursday (2100-0700), Friday (2100-0700), and Saturday (1900-0700)
