Responsibilities

  • Shuttle commercial vehicles to be repaired or post-repairs between our maintenance shop and customers in the surrounding area—be home every evening.
  • Pick up and deliver parts from local parts stores/distribution centers back to our maintenance shop.
  • Provide excellent customer service by exceeding customers’ expectations.
  • Contribute to the achievement of Maintenance Shop department goals and objectives.
  • Make parts runs to parts stores and deliver to shops and mobile techs.
  • Assist with maintaining parts shelves for the techs.
  • Assist with shop cleanliness.
  • Pick up customer trailers with our tractor and deliver to shop and other yards.
  • Pick up and deliver customer trucks.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Attend management meetings when requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field, or any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline, or 5 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver’s license and a valid state-of-residence CDL-A driver’s license; must be able to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
  • Between 1 and 3 years of CDL driving experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and maneuver heavy equipment.
  • Ability to read/follow maps, routes, and GPS systems.
  • Experience demonstrating exceptional customer service to external and internal contacts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Dependable, organized, and committed with a positive attitude.
  • Familiarity with local geography.
  • High energy, adaptability, strong work ethic, and self-motivation.
  • Resourceful and motivated.
