Driver-(Green) (non CDL)

Job Description

The Green Driver plays a crucial role at Star Nursery, ensuring that products reach customers or job sites in the best possible condition. This is a Safety-Sensitive position requiring a clean driving record and valid credentials for driving insured vehicles.

• Operate and safely drive assigned vehicles with a GVW under 26,000 lbs.
• Pick up and transport goods to intended destinations while securing contents to prevent damage or injury.
• Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries.
• Avoid deviating from predetermined routes and ensure timely transport and delivery.
• Communicate with dispatch as needed and confirm shipment loads match manifests.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, check weather conditions, and report any maintenance issues.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and log service activities such as refueling, changing oil, checking tire pressure, and addressing any repairs.
• Comply with company rules and regulations, follow delivery schedules, and adhere to traffic laws and weather conditions.
• Ensure OSHA safety compliance and maintain appropriate paperwork.

Minimum Driver Requirements

• Valid Driver License with proper endorsements in the applicant’s state of residence.
• No current driving record suspension or revocation.
• Approved Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Pre-Employment Background checks.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push/pull 50 lbs.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
