About the Role
We are seeking a high-performing Truck Driver - Flatbed/Chips Driver to deliver company products and backhaul materials in a fast-paced environment. This full-time position reports to the Highway Truck Manager.
Schedule
Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays.
Pay
Starting training wage of $28.55 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Drive semi-truck and ensure safe loading, handling, and transportation of various cargos.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
- Keep accurate shipping, receiving, and log records in compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations and company policy.
- Follow verbal and written dispatch and directions.
- Secure loads with proper tie-downs.
- Perform daily maintenance checks on equipment.
- Abide by all DOT road and safety requirements.
- Assist other branches with related tasks as needed.
Physical Demands
- Throwing straps and tarping loads.
- Lifting objects over 50 lbs.
- Climbing, kneeling, squatting, and working in wet, hot, or inclement weather.
- Pushing, pulling, and dragging heavy objects such as tarps.
- Extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, balancing, stooping, reaching, and handling.
- Occasional longer shifts during peak periods.
- Far and near acuity, depth perception, and field of vision.
Requirements
- Class A CDL with double/triples endorsement.
- Two years of experience driving similar equipment.
- Clean DMV driving record within the last five years.
- Able to work under limited supervision.
- Self-starter with a safety-minded approach.
