Driver I - Flatbed

About the role

Responsible for safely and efficiently dropping off/picking up materials from various vendors and construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Drives delivery trucks to job sites and company destinations.
• Properly secures and straps down materials for safe delivery.
• Loads, unloads, moves, stacks, stages, transports tools, supplies and equipment by hand or using dolly and/or forklift.
• Distributes received packages to designated office personnel as directed.
• Wash and clean department vehicles.
• Sweeps, cleans, hauls trash and maintains work area in a clean and organized fashion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years relevant experience, flatbed experience is preferable
• Valid Class A Driver’s license
• Ability to safely operate a company vehicle and equipment, such as forklift
• Knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical projects and related tools and equipment
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Customer-service orientation
• Attention to and respect for safety rules and regulations
• Ability to work efficiently in the warehouse and at the construction site
