Driver Check In Clerk Sr

US Foods, one of the largest food distributors, is seeking a Senior Driver Check‑in Clerk to receive and verify driver‑returned products and invoices, ensuring accurate accounting codes for the division P&L.

Schedule

Monday to Thursday – 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM
Friday – 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Verify returned product for accurate reason codes (mispicks, driver shorts, refusals) to ensure accounting reports reflect accurate data.
• Confirm returned product is within temperature guidelines to maintain product integrity.
• Process all documents (paper and digital) associated with returns and adjustments to customer orders to ensure inventory accuracy and customer invoice accuracy.
• Inspect all returned product for appropriate disposition (saleable, damage/recuperation, damage/out‑of‑code dumps, etc.) and apply proper coding.
• Execute end‑of‑day processes and reports, researching and addressing any discrepancies.
• Return saleable product to pick slot.
• Work with drivers and transportation supervisors to address issues, provide training/retraining, and identify process‑improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years of experience with warehouse & delivery procedures.
• Clear written and verbal communication, strong math skills, excellent organizational ability, and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills and ability to operate a computer and perform filing.
• Capability to work on complex tasks, prioritize workload, and be a resource to others in the division.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Physical requirements: frequent sitting, standing, walking; occasional lifting of up to 20 lb.

Pay

The expected base rate for this role is between $15 and $24 per hour, with overtime compensation where applicable. Compensation depends on relevant experience, education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as required by law.
