About the Role

Lead and positively coach warehouse team members to select, replenish, receive, and load product for customer orders safely, accurately, and efficiently. As a first-line leader, you will motivate and engage associates to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost through effective coaching and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Engage team members to consistently achieve and/or exceed individual performance goals and objectives by positively leading by example.
• Proactively identify and remove obstacles for teams and individual team members.
• Fully support the consistent application of all policies, procedures, and guidelines while leading by example and communicating expectations effectively.
• Develop associates through positive coaching and training on policies, procedures, and equipment.
• Proactively identify safety hazards and resolve or report them to the safety manager.
• Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse and its equipment, including issuing work orders for repairs or replacements.
• Lead teams to support assigned daily/weekly cleaning schedules and plans.
• Analyze current operations and recommend improvements to control expenses and costs.
• Support business change and development through process improvements to reduce damages and ensure accurate reporting of inventory.
• Coach team members to accurately use voice and computer systems to reduce mis-picks, improve inventory accuracy, and support a balanced incentive program.
• Safeguard warehouse operations by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Support warehouse operations regarding employee schedules, workloads, and productivity, identifying obstacles for supervisors and managers.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety requirements.
• Assume additional responsibilities to support shift efforts in achieving or exceeding KPIs for Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost.

Requirements

• Experience positively engaging peers and teams to deliver results in diverse and challenging environments.
• Leadership, motivation, and managerial skills.
• Knowledge of and demonstrated success in following standard operating procedures (SOPs) in a warehouse distribution setting, with a focus on inventory control, replenishment, and outbound operations.
• Ability to understand data and results and articulate them to team members.
