Driver CDL

This position is represented by a labor union.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays
• 8 hours per day, start time between 03:00 AM to 04:00 AM (finishing when work is completed)
• 40+ hours per week

Principal location: 55 East Nugget Ave, Sparks, Nevada 89431

Delivering to states: CA and NV (interstate)

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with procedures and regular safety checks of your equipment (tractor, trailer, pallet jack, etc.) to always guarantee safety
• Complete daily field service activities, including preparing receipts, truck logs, and maintenance records
• Perform all duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch

Requirements

• Meet all requirements set forth in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Final Rule regarding the issuance and renewal of Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDLs)
• CDL-Class A license with at least two years of proven safe driving experience
• Valid REAL ID driver's license, U.S. passport, or federal ID (required for military base facility access)
• Pass drug test, MVR, and background check
• FMCSA's Clearinghouse Registration required
• Minimum of one year of safe driving experience with no serious driving convictions (DOT requirement to check the last 10 years)
• Familiarity with OSHA, DOT regulations, and local, state, and federal requirements
• Basic understanding of temperature-controlled food transportation
• Proficiency in using a smartphone, electronic logging device (ELD), scanner, and logging deliveries
• Flexibility to adapt to changing routes and working schedules
• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions and varying temperatures

Preferred: Direct store delivery experience (DSD)

Pay

$30.45 per hour
