About the role

Binswanger Glass is a place where careers are made, and many current employees have grown through the ranks. The Driver Class A position is an entry-level role responsible for light, short-distance driving and delivery-related tasks as directed by management.

Responsibilities

• Complete deliveries by unloading at customer sites
• Drive company truck (light) or van to customers to complete deliveries
• Process sales orders and paperwork, including pulling orders and placing them in delivery areas and on the delivery vehicle
• Safely transport and handle glass
• Make notes regarding broken, defective, scratched glass, or problem deliveries on the delivery ticket
• Attach check or cash to the related delivery ticket, place in lock box, and turn in to the office manager upon return to the Branch after delivery is complete
• Obtain customer signature on delivery ticket and leave a proper copy with signature
• Maintain the light truck or van by following preventative maintenance requirements, ensuring the vehicle is clean and safe, and following through when repairs are required
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Comply with all safety rules
• Perform other duties as assigned
