Driver - B Shift (M-F 2PM - 10:30PM)

About the role
Under the direction of the shift supervisor and/or the shift team leader, the CDL Shuttle Driver will be responsible for operating a semi-tractor trailer vehicle for the loading and delivery of products to/from the plant to the warehouse in a manner consistent with all safety, quality, and operational work instructions.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the shuttle vehicle on each trip, following all applicable laws and company policy.
- Account for records involving trailer numbers and position of vehicles.
- Function and interact daily with warehouse supervisors and comply with warehouse safety requirements.
- Communicate using cellular telephone or 2-way radio with operations and warehouse personnel in a courteous and professional manner.
- Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading position, following signal from loading crew as needed.
- Place safety wheel chocks in front of wheel/tire to prevent the trailer from rolling.
- Ensure proper placement of trailer jack stand (when at dock, jack stand must be on the ground and in a locked position). Notify customer if jack stand is not installed on the trailer.
- Proper use of Airline/Electrical hookup and backing procedure.
- Follow all company policies, guidelines, and quality procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Inspect and perform minor maintenance on the equipment daily.
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and yard.
- Work overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
- Minimum 2 years of verified tractor-trailer experience within the past 4 years.
- Clean driving record.
- Meet DOT physical requirements and maintain a valid medical certificate.
- Pass road and backing test during onboarding.
- Satisfactory completion of Class A CDL: Combination of vehicles with a GVWR of 26,001 lbs. or more provided the GVWR of the vehicle(s) towed is in excess of 10,000 lbs.
- Ability to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months (ranging from mild to moderate).

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
Pay
For this position, the expected base pay range is $30.50 – $30.50. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
