Duties and Responsibilities
- The Driver reports to the Safety, Security and Transportation Manager and is an hourly, non-exempt position.
- The Driver is responsible for supplying transportation services to students and performing general maintenance duties throughout the center.
- The Driver inspects and reports on the mechanical condition of vehicles.
- Maintains accurate and complete trip reports of each use of any vehicle.
- When not performing the duties of the Driver, will perform alarm and patrol duties in assigned areas to protect life and property against theft, misappropriation, vandalism, fire, flood, or similar disaster, suspicious acts and/or persons, and other unusual conditions.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Six months work-related experience preferred
- Valid State driver’s license and an acceptable driving record required
- Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy
About Our Program
Job Corps is the largest nationwide residential career training program in the country and has been operating for more than 60 years. The program helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, trains them for meaningful careers, and assists them with obtaining employment.
