Schedule

Full time, day shift. Must be available to work at least 40 hours per week as a Floater position covering shifts starting as early as 7:30am until 10:00pm (Mon-Fri), and as early as 8:00am until 8:00pm (Sat-Sun). Shifts may fall within these times but do not require covering the entire day.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all safety protocols and procedures during transportation.
• Communicates effectively with relevant departments to coordinate transportation needs.
• Operates transportation vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and organizational policies.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper functioning of transportation vehicles.
• Reports any vehicle maintenance issues or incidents promptly.
• Utilizes tracking systems and devices to monitor the status of transported items.
• Follows proper procedures for the transport of hazardous materials.
• Provides excellent customer service during interactions with staff and clients.
• Completes required training and certifications for safe transportation practices.
• Transports biological specimens, medical supplies, equipment, reports, patient care records, pharmacy preparations, and related paperwork according to defined schedules or urgent requests.
• Leverages technology to communicate with internal dispatch command center.
• Ensures the security and proper handling of all transported items.
• Maintains accurate and timely delivery records for all transported items.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)
• Driver's License (Required)
• Previous courier experience (Preferred)
• Forklift and Electric Pallet Jack certification (Preferred)

Skills

• Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various backgrounds (Required)
• Self-starter that can budget time and activities to accomplish tasks (Required)
• Ability to identify, sort items, and organize cargo for timely delivery (Required)
• Ability to read and speak English (Required)
• Ability to be courteous, follow a schedule, and instructions (Required)
• Ability to use a scanning device to log and track deliveries (Required)
• Ability to use good judgment in emergencies (Required)
• Ability to drive all vehicles from sedan to small box trucks (Required)
• Knowledge of Orlando and surrounding areas (Preferred)

Pay

$16.63 - $26.60 per hour
