About the role
This position handles specialized warehouse tasks including loading, unloading, order pulling, shipping, returns, forklift operation, fabrication, counter work, and occasional customer deliveries. You may operate a company vehicle or a personal vehicle under 10,001 GVW during the workweek. A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report will be required; an acceptable MVR is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, sort, pick, stock, stage, fabricate, and transport goods.
- Carry heavy merchandise (50–300 pounds) up and down stairs using body straps and/or furniture dollies.
- Verify items against purchase orders and packing slips; report shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
- File orders for delivery and store supplies/equipment properly.
- Operate forklifts or other machinery to complete tasks.
- Drive company vehicles to pick up stock or deliver materials to designated locations.
- Serve as an emergency backup driver (Non-DOT).
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain supplies for road safety.
- Prepare and maintain records per company policies and procedures.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Work Environment
- Typically located in a comfortable environment with regular exposure to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
- Requires intermittent physical exertion: walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting/maneuvering heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward materials.
- Overnight travel is less than 10% of the time.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
- 0–2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures, requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documents.
