Responsibilities
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Handle and store hazardous materials (pesticides, fertilizers, chemicals) in compliance with safety regulations.
- Use appropriate PPE (gloves, goggles, protective clothing) when working with hazardous materials.
- Provide quality application services to customers in a safe and timely manner.
- Maintain a quality and professional image with customers and be responsive to their needs.
- Obtain and maintain a DOT commercial driver’s license (CDL) and registration, comply with state and federal requirements and annual updates.
- Obtain and maintain state commercial applicator certification and stay current with requirements.
- Perform daily inspection of equipment prior to field applications and post-application inspections.
- Maintain safety equipment in optimum condition in the applicator equipment and immediate work area; follow all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Apply the correct labeling, decals, and DOT numbers to equipment and tanks.
- Maintain the appropriate applicator and equipment logs and ensure they are kept up to date.
- Perform the required preventive maintenance program recommended for the equipment.
- Comply with regulatory guidelines in tank mixing, rinsing, and washing down both in the field and at the plant.
- Work with and assist other employees with various duties when not actively driving, as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements
- Valid driver’s license: must be able to meet a Motor Vehicle Review in accordance with Company policy.
- Specific position/site qualifications and progression may apply.
- Advancement is not guaranteed by achieving years of experience only. Proficiency in job and behaviors that align with GreenPoint Ag Core Values (i.e. teamwork – helping other employees) are large considerations, consult with local team.
- High School graduate or GED; may be offset by experience.
- Valid driver’s license; must be able to meet a Motor Vehicle Review in accordance with Company policy.
- Must obtain and maintain required state commercial applicator certification as required by state.
- 3+ years of experience in the agriculture industry or other related industry preferred.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to communicate with associates and customers.
- Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation, including understanding shipping/applicator orders and tickets, product labels, MSDS sheets, warning signs and emergency procedures.
- Basic mechanical skills for daily maintenance of equipment preferred.
- Ability to maintain customer service and represent GreenPoint Ag in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
