Driver / Activities Assistant - Part-Time

About the Role

As a Vitality Living Transportation Driver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through:

• Driving vehicles from community to social and other destinations according to assigned schedule
• Practicing safe driving techniques, adhering to posted speed limits, and following state guidelines for motor vehicle operation
• Securing passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trips
• Documenting all damages to company vehicles, including accidents, dents, natural wear and tear, etc.
• Cleaning interior and exterior of vehicle after each outing and ensuring adequate fuel levels
• Participating in the planning, implementation, and promotion of activities to enhance the quality of life for all residents
• Safely transporting residents in community bus or another vehicle according to schedule
• Facilitating engagement programs that promote a vibrant lifestyle; modeling appropriate and successful engagement of residents
• Create engagement for residents based on their preferences, experiences, and lifelong interests as reported in the resident life journal
• Coordinating outings, special events, and partnerships with the greater community to enhance overall engagement experience for residents
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Executive Director, Engagement Director, or Memory Care Director

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED
• Must be 21 years or older
• Valid driver's license with a clean record that meets company insurance standards
• Commercial driver's license (CDL) designation may be required if driving vehicles with a capacity of more than 15 passengers
• Working knowledge of all motor vehicle safety precautions and compliance with safety measures
• CPR/First Aid certification
