Drilling Services Operator

About the role

Reporting to the Drilling Superintendent, the Drilling Services Operator will complete services in support of drilling operations and assist with various activities as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Move supplies and operate equipment in support of ongoing drilling operations.
• Support drilling operations while maintaining a safe work environment and follow all standards, policies and procedures, including OSHA standards.
• Perform routine maintenance, minor repairs and troubleshoot on drill services equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize mobile equipment including a water truck, vacuum truck, telehandler, and other commercial vehicles and equipment as needed.
• Coordinate activities with other team members effectively.

Requirements

• Proficiency in rig operations and maintenance.
• Experience in heavy equipment operations including water trucks, vacuum trucks and telehandlers.
• Mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ability to lift and carry large (50+ lbs) tools and equipment independently.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions for long periods of time.
• Must work in compliance with the Florence Copper’s site Health and Safety program.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License; CDL is a plus.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and background check.

Work Environment

This role involves physical labor, including lifting and carrying heavy tools and equipment, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
