Description What to expect

Martin Marietta is seeking an Equipment Operator to join their team. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, dependable, and motivated. This role involves operating a variety of off-road vehicles and heavy equipment in the quarry, including water trucks, haul trucks, dozers, loaders, and excavators. Hours are from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, including weekends and overtime as needed.

A Typical Day For A(n) Equipment Operator May Include

Operating a variety of off-road vehicles and heavy equipment within company guidelines and safety standards
Completing daily pre and post-inspection of working areas and ensuring they are equipped with adequate berms and roadways
Performing pre-shift safety inspections on equipment and reporting needed repairs to the supervisor
Ensuring safe operations around conveyors, surge piles, and crushers
Performing daily preventative maintenance such as tire pressure, oil, grease, diesel fuel, hose checks for leaks, and ensuring all moving parts are functioning properly
Maintaining safe traffic flow throughout the site
Aiding in the training of co-workers as needed
Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor

You May Be a Good Fit If You Possess

A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position
Experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment, construction equipment, and/or equipment used in processing plants
Experience in operation and maintenance of off-road vehicles and heavy equipment (preferred)
