Driller in Northern Indiana

About the role

Patriot Engineering and Environmental is seeking a Driller in its Northern Indiana markets. Based in Indianapolis, IN, the company provides geotechnical, environmental, and construction materials testing services and consultation to various clients.

Responsibilities

• Operate a geotechnical drill rig to advance boreholes in soil up to 100 feet.
• Oversee a 2–3-man drill crew in all tasks associated with drilling operations.
• Install instrumentation and monitoring wells.
• Perform routine repairs and maintenance.
• Perform basic surveying, site reconnaissance, and utility clearance tasks.
• Drive all forms of drilling equipment to and from project locations.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-year experience.
• Able to perform NQ rock coring.
• Able to perform mud rotary drilling.
• Candidates should possess a Class A Commercial Driver’s License or have the ability to obtain one quickly, within 60 days of hire.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
