Drill Operator-3rd shift

About the role

The Drill Operator will learn to run a safop drive machine used for drilling and blind drilling paper mill roll covers. This position will be filled on nights, 7pm-3am.

Responsibilities

• Mount and dismount bearings
• Install dummy (temporary) heads
• Line rolls up with a dial indicator, and doing so with safe practices
• Must be willing to learn multiple positions (cross-train)

Requirements

• Must be able to use standard hand tools (hammer, crescent wrench, end wrench, square, tape measure, multiple saws, etc.)
• Knowledge of a dial indicator, diameter tape, and micrometer is a plus
• Strong basic math skills are a must
• Physical requirements:
  • Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds multiple times
  • Work 12 hour shifts when needed while constantly staying focused
  • Swing a 20 pound sledge hammer to tighten bearings
