Drawtape Line Operator

About the role

Petoskey Plastics seeks a Conversion, Drawtape Line Operator to join our team. The position involves performing a variety of production tasks, including operating assigned lines, assisting other operators, documenting production data, and troubleshooting issues.

Responsibilities

• Safely run assigned production lines
• Assist other operators on lines as needed
• Document daily production, quality, scrap, and machine downtime
• Good machine troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Follow all safety and quality policies
• Consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance
• Show strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal & written)

Requirements

• 6 months plastics experience preferred
• Attend all offered operator training classes
• Ability to read production schedule, work order, and work procedures in English
• Mathematical abilities
• Good communication skills
• Problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Some electrical aptitude
• Good computer skills
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
