Drainage Engineer - Chicago, IL
About the role
A Professional Engineer (PE) with 8+ years of experience with drainage design, scheduling and utility planning. Lochner joined Egis, a global infrastructure consulting, engineering, and operations firm, expanding our capabilities while preserving the values and culture that define who we are.
Responsibilities
- Carry out field visits to project sites to observe project conditions.
- Develop highway drainage designs, models, calculations, and Phase I Drainage Studies.
- Create drainage and utility plans.
- Create drainage schedules.
- Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analyses.
- Prepare drainage-related regulatory permits.
- Coordinate with project staff, other disciplines, and sub-consultants.
Requirements
- 8+ years of drainage design experience required.
- IL PE is required.
- BSCE is required.
- CFM is a plus.
- IDOT drainage design experience in Microstation, Open Roads Designer, and stormwater modeling software including HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM and HY-8.

- Ability to monitor project progress with respect to project budgets, scope of work, and schedules.
