Drain Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Use skills to solve sewer and drain problems.
• Diagnose problems during a service call.
• Provide cost estimates to customers.
• Unclog and clean sewers and drains using Roto-Rooter equipment.
• Document estimates and invoices, both in writing and electronically.
• Collect payment and move on to the next service call.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license.
• Effective communication skills.
• A mechanical aptitude is desirable, but not required.

Pay

First year Roto-Rooter drain service technicians can expect top-pay, earning $55,000, on average. Pay increases quickly with each year of experience.

Schedule

Roto-Rooter provides an initial 12 weeks of paid sewer and drain service training, plus continuing training is available if you want to learn the plumbing trade and pursue a journeyman plumber’s license.
