Drafter/Designer
About the role
The Drafter position is available in the Saint Louis, MO office, with potential for remote work in San Diego, CA. This role involves supporting the Power Delivery Team with local technical design and CADD support, producing detailed drawings, and ensuring project deliverables meet industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Generate CADD designs on various aspects of projects ranging from basic to moderate scale.
- Create drawings and documents such as reports, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans, profiles, sections, details, specifications, and material lists.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of design phase deliverables.
- Exercise ethical decision-making regarding company resources and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Strong experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, 2018 or newer.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to self-check work for completeness and accuracy.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and adherence to WSP’s policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree.
- Experience with creating alignments, profiles, surfaces, and pipe networks in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience interpreting surveys.
- Experience with MicroStation.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Expected salary range: $46,000 - $69,000 per year (California only).
