Drafter/Designer
About the role
Join a growing engineering team supporting utility-scale battery storage, solar, wind, and substation projects across North America. This is an excellent opportunity for a drafter looking to expand into full design responsibilities while working with experienced engineers and project teams.
Responsibilities
- Create 2D and 3D designs using AutoCAD and Inventor
- Develop layouts, models, drawing packages, elevations, and sections for BESS and substation projects
- Support solar, wind, and energy infrastructure projects
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, clients, and vendors
- Perform material takeoffs, weight checks, and design updates
Qualifications
- 1+ year of AutoCAD drafting/design experience OR Associate Degree in Drafting/CAD
- Experience with AutoCAD 2D drafting
- Working knowledge of Inventor 3D modeling
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Desire to grow beyond drafting into advanced design work
Preferred
- Civil 3D or MicroStation experience
- Interest in renewable energy, substations, and transmission infrastructure

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
