Responsibilities
- Create and revise detailed fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings using SolidWorks
- Develop technical drawing packages, manufacturing documentation, and bills of materials
- Design and detail sheet metal components, welded assemblies, structural fabrications, and modular systems
- Interpret engineering requirements, customer specifications, and manufacturing standards
- Apply GD&T principles and AWS welding symbols to production drawings
- Support engineering change requests, drawing revisions, and configuration control activities
- Review designs for manufacturability, completeness, and accuracy before release
- Partner closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Project teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist with documentation supporting aerospace and defense-related programs
Requirements
- 2+ years of drafting, detailing, or design experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong proficiency with SolidWorks, including creating production-ready fabrication drawings
- Experience with sheet metal design and detailing
- Working knowledge of GD&T and drafting standards
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and fabrication methods
- Experience creating and maintaining bills of materials and drawing revisions
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience in aerospace, defense, AS9100, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with AWS A2.4 welding symbols
- Associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field
- CSWP (Certified SolidWorks Professional) certification
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
