About the role
Completes details of design concepts of engineering proposals to develop designs for products.
Responsibilities
- Uses 3-D modeling to make changes in current designs under the supervision of more senior designers.
- Uses 3-D models to create new drawings and revises drawings as necessary.
Requirements
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or 1–2 years related experience or training.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical manuals, procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Occasionally required to maneuver body over or around products in a stationary setting, including climbing or traversing the product.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet except when performing duties in the factory where standard PPE including hearing protection is provided and required.
Pay
The pay range for this role is $30.00 to $40.00 per hour.
