Contract position based in East Longmeadow, MA.

About the role

Create and modify 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings for electro-mechanical products, assemblies, and enclosures. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to support new product development, improve existing designs, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure products are ready for manufacturing. The role includes designing complex plastic injection molded and machined components, maintaining engineering documentation and BOMs, supporting prototype builds and testing, and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This is an onsite position with working hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering an opportunity to work on innovative products in EV charging, fleet management, and workforce technology. You will gain exposure to the complete product development and manufacturing process at a locally based facility with over 50 years of success. The work environment is collaborative and team-oriented, where individual contributions are highly visible.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams for new product development.
• Improve existing designs and troubleshoot production issues.
• Design complex plastic injection molded and machined components.
• Maintain engineering documentation and BOMs.
• Support prototype builds and testing.
• Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Skills

• Proficiency in CAD Software (Inventor/AutoCAD).
• Experience with plastic injection molding design.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Experience with 3D printing for prototyping and design validation.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor for developing accurate 3D models.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating detailed 2D engineering drawings.

Pay

$35.00 - $50.00/hr.
