DR Project Coordinator
About the role
We are seeking a coordinator to support Disaster Recovery (DR) testing activities. This role is focused on coordination, facilitation, and project execution, not hands-on testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Cross-functional execution across application and infrastructure teams.
- Execute coordinated DR test events based on defined runbooks and cutover sequences.
- Manage testing schedules, sprint activities, and stakeholder communications.
- Document meeting outcomes, test results, risks, and issues.
- Validate system operability, recovery processes, and stabilization during failover and restoration.
- Measure recovery performance against defined Recovery Time Objective and Recovery Point Objective targets.
- Capture and categorize issues identified during testing activities, providing visibility into risks.
- Deliver structured reporting on test outcomes, recovery metrics, and key risks.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of IT Project Coordination.
- Experience running meetings, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving action items is required.
- Skills: Facilitation, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to quickly assimilate into an established team and execute defined processes is necessary.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of cloud environments (AWS preferred), applications, infrastructure, and databases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting DR or Business Continuity testing programs.
- Familiarity with DR concepts such as failover, fallback, RTO, and RPO.
- Familiarity with AWS resiliency concepts, CloudWatch, or AWS Resilience Hub.
- Exposure to Cutover or similar orchestration tools.
