Douglasville PCA Caregiver

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and support daily routines
• Auxiliary with personal care: bathing/showering (client may sometimes decline), dressing, grooming, skin care, oral care, hair care, and changing adult undergarments
• Auxiliary with mobility and exercises, including leg exercises recommended by physical therapy
• Prepare meals and encourage proper nutrition and hydration
• Maintain awareness of and respond to client’s medical conditions, reporting any changes to office staff
• Maintain open communication with office staff and follow care plans

Requirements

• Relevant certifications or training for the role (e.g., CNA, PCA, CPR, First Aid)
• Current TB test
• Compassion, professionalism, and reliability
• Previous caregiving or healthcare experience preferred
• Ability to pass a background check
• Dependable transportation
