About the role

Glenmont Job Corps Center is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Dorm Supervisor to lead the residential team and support students in their journey towards success.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a safe, clean, and structured dormitory environment.
  • Support student growth, retention, achievement, and overall success.
  • Supervise and lead residential staff to ensure quality student support.
  • Build positive relationships with students while encouraging accountability and personal responsibility.
  • Use sound judgment to resolve student and staff concerns professionally and effectively.
  • Partner with counseling staff to provide individualized case management and support student success.
  • Promote a positive residential culture where students feel respected, supported, and motivated.
  • Conduct dorm inspections and ensure compliance with center standards.
  • Serve as a mentor who helps students develop life skills, leadership abilities, and confidence.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of Job Corps experience or experience in a related youth development, residential, educational, or workforce program.
  • A valid in-state driver's license.

Qualifications

  • An Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • The ability to lift 40 pounds and assess the lift load to ask for necessary assistance.

Schedule

Sunday-Thursday: 3p-12a
Friday and Saturday: OFF
