About the role

As a Donut Artisan, you will create high-quality, artisanal donuts that delight our customers. Your role involves working in the early morning/overnight hours, frying signature donuts, designing unique toppings, and ensuring each donut is made with precision and care in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce, fry, decorate, package, and maintain all donuts in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
• Display and restock donut products, ensuring shelves and cases are filled, fresh, rotated, faced, and cleaned.
• Maintain accurate food inventories and process orders through digital and in-person systems.
• Greet and assist guests in a friendly and courteous manner, providing knowledgeable answers to inquiries.
• Promote high morale within the department and store, using open communication with guests and team members.
• Stock shelves, maintain displays, and ensure product freshness by following recipe guidelines and rotation procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety by following all sanitation procedures and reporting hazards or equipment issues.
• Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately, if applicable.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals, participate in meetings, and assist other departments as needed.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and directives, promoting a harassment-free environment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Food Handler's Permit required (can be obtained after hiring).
• Availability: 2:00 AM – 10:00 AM, any day Monday-Sunday, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, twist, sit, and bend for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity for handling small objects and operating equipment.
• Repetitive use of hands and arms to push, pull, carry, lift, reach, grip, and balance.
• Occasionally stoop, crouch, kneel, or crawl.
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the store, including occasional use of step stools or ladders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous experience in retail or guest service (preferred).
• Previous specialty cheese experience (preferred).

• Ability to write, speak, hear, and understand the spoken word to respond promptly to requests.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate cooking machinery.
