Donor Services Manager
LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is seeking an experienced professional to lead collection operations for whole blood and apheresis in Montgomery, AL. This role ensures annual goals are met efficiently while maintaining premier donor care, customer safety, and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Regional Director and/or Regional Manager with oversight of blood collection and donor recruitment.
- Monitor regional projections and planning to meet or exceed collection goals.
- Supervise staff, including hiring, training, evaluating, and disciplining to ensure a well-qualified team.
- Motivate and educate Donor Services staff, fostering positive team morale and operational cooperation.
- Plan, organize, manage, and direct all aspects of whole blood, apheresis, and automated collection operations (fixed site or mobile).
- Review weekly recruitment goals and projections; implement corrective action when needed.
- Represent and promote LifeSouth and its mission to the community.
- Successfully complete CDL training program and state CDL licensing; drive bloodmobiles when necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three years of supervisory or management experience.
- Valid driver’s license; must meet and maintain LifeSouth driver’s eligibility requirements.
- Ability to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong interpersonal, team-building, and communication skills (oral and written).
- Proficiency in a variety of computer software applications.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate effectively.
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred.
- Prior phlebotomy experience strongly preferred.

Pay
Starting salary range: $62,000 - $68,200 annually.
This is a full-time position. Criminal background check and drug screen required upon conditional offer of hire.
