Donor Center Phlebotomist

About the Role

When you join our team, you will utilize your healthcare and/or customer service skills to assist with every step of the blood collection process at our fixed site locations. This includes collaborating with your team to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for volunteer donors and following all safety procedures while collecting lifesaving blood donations that are delivered to hospitals. Responsibilities

• Personally connect with donors—listen to their stories and help them understand the impact of their donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment to encourage repeat donations.
• Maintain detailed orientation to ensure collected blood meets goals, regulatory requirements, and safety standards for transfusion.

Schedule

Standard Schedule (Waukesha, Wisconsin)

• Variable schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, including mandatory shifts every Saturday and Sunday, with two additional weekdays scheduled—every Thursday off.
• Two consecutive days off each week (days may vary week to week).
• Schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet donor and community needs.
• Schedule is provided two to three weeks in advance.

Pay

• Starting rate: $23.34/hour (Entry-Level)
• $27.81/hour (LPN License)
• $33.00/hour (RN License)

Requirements

• Associate’s degree OR a combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience in a public setting.
• A current, valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, and the ability to sit or stand for long periods.
• Adaptability to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.).
• Prior leadership experience.
