About the role
The Donor Care Specialist plays a key role in building and maintaining positive relationships with TWR donors by providing timely, compassionate, and personalized support through correspondence, phone interactions, and administrative services. The role is responsible for managing donor records, processing donor communications and requests, and ensuring accurate stewardship of donor information while delivering excellent customer service. Working closely with the Donor Services team, this position helps strengthen donor engagement and supports TWR's mission by ministering to supporters with care, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and send personalized donor acknowledgements, memorial and honor gift correspondence, pledge letters, and other donor communications.
- Respond to donor inquiries and requests via phone, email, and mail with professionalism, care, and sensitivity.
- Maintain and update donor records, including contact information, giving history, mailing preferences, and account coding.
- Process donor receipts, returned mail, subscriptions, and special donor-related requests.
- Support donor stewardship efforts by preparing sympathy correspondence, prayer request reports, welcome packets, and ministry resources.
- Assist with administrative and operational projects, including database management, reporting, ledger reconciliation support, and mail production processes.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills with a heart for serving donors and ministry partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when handling data and correspondence.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining quality work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor database or related technology systems.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Compassion, empathy, and sensitivity when interacting with donors during significant life events.
- Commitment to Christian ministry, servant leadership, and TWR's mission and values.
