Dog Walker - Seasonal

About the role

We're hiring a Dog Walker to join our team at the Humane Society of Missouri. This part-time, seasonal role involves walking shelter dogs—many of which are strong, energetic, and require confident handling. You'll be expected to maintain safe control at all times.

Schedule

Flexible part-time hours with focused availability between 2:00–6:00 p.m. Weekends are required, but we're open to discussing what works best for you.

Pay

$16 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe control while walking shelter dogs, including large or strong breeds.
• Support the daily enrichment and care of rescue animals.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of direct dog handling experience (shelter, daycare, boarding, vet clinic, etc.).
• Confidence handling large or strong dogs.
• Must be a reliable, safety-conscious team member with a love for animals.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
