About the role

SNIFF SF is a locally owned, full-service dog care company offering walking, training, and boarding services. Our approach emphasizes active engagement and collaboration among team members.

Responsibilities

• Right-size the dog-to-human ratio to ensure active engagement and playtime.
• Collaborate with other team members to provide comprehensive care and training for dogs.
• Use scientifically proven, reward-based methods to promote positive behavior and incorporate command work into the dogs' daily routines.
• Work with dogs to modify behavior constructively, using R+ methods.
• Engage with dogs and their owners in a friendly, sociable manner, promoting a positive environment.
• Supervise dogs during play activities such as romping, chasing, and tug-of-war.
• Communicate effectively with both dogs and their owners, ensuring clear understanding and implementation of training techniques.
• Ensure all dogs receive high-quality care and attention, meeting the high standards set by Sniff San Francisco.

Requirements

• Active and passionate about dogs.
• A dependable team player.
• Comfortable working outdoors, including walking in the city.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a team.

Qualifications

• Experience with dogs and a love for them.
• Team-oriented personality.
• Willingness to walk dogs in various conditions, including uphill and downhill terrain.
• Positive reinforcement training experience preferred.
