DoD SKILLBRIDGE - Mechanical Lift Maintenance Technician Program
About the role
This is a temporary, on-the-job training program aimed at developing the skills necessary to be successful in our Mechanical Lift Maintenance Technician positions. The program requires Service Member eligibility of at least 60 days, during which there will be on-the-job training. Upon completion, participants are eligible to apply for any available Mechanical Lift Maintenance Technician positions.
Responsibilities
- Engage directly with clients to offer solutions and build lasting relationships.
- Tackle mechanical challenges and provide top-tier maintenance and repairs to ensure lift systems operate seamlessly.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of mechanical lift maintenance principles.
- Master the terminology and functionality of ski lifts.
- Develop skills for positive customer and problem-solving interactions.
- Learn adjustment procedures for lift systems.
- Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) efficiently.
- Navigate the filing system and access historical records.
Requirements
- BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma/GED equivalent.
- At least 1 year of heavy mechanical repair experience.
- Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings & prints.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
- Ability to work in inclement weather in a mountainous environment at heights in excess of 20 feet.
- Authorized to work in the United States of America.
- Proficient in the English language.
- DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in ski lift maintenance & repair.
- Advanced experience and/or certifications in welding.
- At least 1 year of previous NDT experience (MT/PT).
Qualifications
