About the role

Communications and External Affairs (CEA) Division is seeking a technical photographer to support organizations and programs at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical photography to document scientific and production processes and progress within a fast-paced and demanding weapons manufacturing environment.
  • Auxiliary work includes capturing images for technical training videos, lectures, and knowledge captures.
  • Work directly with customers to determine requirements and plan and produce your own projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Bridge or Adobe Lightroom, and experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience in project management software such as Asana or Microsoft Project.
  • Proficiency in operating professional DSLR cameras and interchangeable lenses.
  • Experience working with confidential or proprietary information, classified documents or sensitive information.
  • Experience working with multiple reviewers and balancing multiple tasks of varying lengths and priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and balance multiple tasks of varying lengths and priorities both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Experience communicating in a science, technology, national security, safety, environmental, or related field and experience translating complex concepts into compelling communications products.
  • Experience in project management knowledge and experience in coordinating projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Active DOE Q Security Clearance.

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience.

Schedule

This position may require 24/7 coverage, which could involve working a shift/weekend schedule. Employees may be eligible for the shift differential pay when assigned by their manager. Shift/weekend assignments are at the discretion of the manager.
